Better Connected: Global Attitudes to Public Transport 2025
The world is at a turning point. Global population growth is combining with ballooning carbon emissions and rising temperatures to pile pressure on the world’s resources.
As a result, there is a pressing need for practical, sustainable solutions that can cater to rising numbers of people while reducing the environmental strain and amplifying consumer experiences.
When it comes to transport, the way people get from A to B must undergo a major, permanent, sustainable transition. The Better Connected Report 2025, incorporating the opinions of more than 11,000 people across a mix of countries and a host of cities, provides answers to some of the big questions in this space.
Questions like:
What do people want from transport services?
Under what circumstances would they switch to lower-impact forms of mobility?
And, by extension: what can governments do quickly and cheaply to ensure the modal shift happens?
Also revealed is the influence of cultural factors, beyond the quality of infrastructure, that influence public decision making about how they travel for work and leisure.
