Sustainability sits at the heart of Hitachi Rail’s supply chain strategy to address the climate crisis and transition to a regenerative economic model. Most of the business social and environmental impact occurs in the supply chain. Through its Sustainable Supply Chain Strategy, Hitachi Rail drives positive intentions, delivers sustainable change, and ultimately empowers the achievement of its Sustainable Development Goals promises.
Sustainable Supply Chain

This ‘Gold’ rating covering the global rail business unit displays our commitment to drive a sustainable business strategy that cares about the wellbeing of its people, the environment around us and the prominent role we hold in the decarbonization of the transport sector.
*Please note this rating covers the Hitachi Rail business pre-June 2024 and does not currently cover the newly acquired Thales Ground Transportation Systems area of the business.
